Coach Overview

Playing Experience: Blake Talley was a 2012 graduate of Buckhorn High School. At Buckhorn he helped lead the Bucks to a 2012 Elite Eight playoff appearance, which also set the school record for team wins. During the same season, he was named team MVP at Buckhorn and named to the All – Area Team. After his career at Buckhorn, Blake went to Calhoun Community College where he played 3rd base and pitched. As a sophomore, he hit .346 and was named to the All ACCC – North Team. After Calhoun, he finished his playing career at the University of North Alabama (UNA). As a senior at UNA, Blake won Academic All – Gulf South Conference and led the team with a 1.86 ERA and 5 saves. During that same year, Blake was selected as the recipient of the Bob Stephenson Award which is presented to the player who has contributed to the program on the field and in the classroom, showing great character, accountability and loyalty to the UNA baseball program.

High School Coaching Experience: 2017- Assistant Coach, Madison County HS 2018- Head Coach, Scottsboro HS

  • Led the Wildcats to their first Area Championship in 12 years. 2019-2022
  • Head Coach, Grissom HS -2021
  • Lead the Tigers to their first playoff appearance in 4 years Private Instruction 2022- Present
  • Over the last 2 years Coach Talley has worked with high school, college and professional players to help them develop in areas of hitting and pitching.
  • Coach Talley is passionate about growing his knowledge in regards to player development and using all forms of technology to make his players better.
